Alex Gee is a member of the Center for Healthy Minds Equity Advisory Council, an external body of world class scholars and practitioners who are invited to provide advice to the Center's community (leadership, researchers and staff) on all facets of work through the lens of equity, inclusion and diversity.
Gee is the Lead Pastor of Fountain of Life Covenant Church, a multiracial, multigenerational, and multi-class congregation in Madison, Wisconsin. He recently launched “Justified Anger”, a movement encouraging the community to rethink racial disparities in Madison. Gee’s recent efforts have created historic gatherings and has mobilized over 1,000 non-black allies into the community.
Over the past five years, Gee’s efforts have included educating, coaching and mobilizing white allies, as well as building capacity and networking opportunities for Madison’s Black emerging leaders. His focus is promoting inspiration, transformation and justice for disenfranchised African American people, for the benefit of the entire city.
