David Saunders is the Albert J. Solnit Fellow in Adult and Child Psychiatry at the Yale School of Medicine and a former graduate student of John Dunne, faculty member at the Center for Healthy Minds, UW–Madison.
David completed his M.D./Ph.D., during which he studied the evolving conversation between Buddhist meditation practices and western psychotherapy. He focuses specifically on the neuropsychological mechanisms of mindfulness-based practices and how they affect self and subjectivity.
He is presently a clinical and research fellow in child and adult psychiatry at the Child Study Center of Yale School of Medicine.
