Geshe Lharampa Lobsang Namgyal

Lobsang Namgyal completed his Buddhist philosophical studies at Gaden Shartse Monastic College in Mundgod, India, where he received his Geshe Lharampa degree in 2018. In 2019, he continued with tantric studies at Gyudmed Monastery in Hunsur. His exposure to science began in 2005 through the Science Meets Dharma Program. He pursued further science studies through a six-year science course in Sarah College of Higher Tibetan Studies in north India organized by Emory-Tibet Science Initiative (ETSI) and Tibetan Library of Works and Archives. Thereafter, he was chosen as Tenzin Gyatso Scholar and participated in two years of science coursework at Emory University from 2015 to 2017. He also completed three years of the ETSI Research and Pedagogy Development Workshop at Drepung Loseling Science Center. Currently, he is working at the Gashar Center for Contemplative Science and Studies.
