While working at the Center, Rachele was interested in investigating human emotional brain and how emotions, both positive and negative, affect psychological and physical well-being. At the Center for Healthy Minds she collaborated in various studies that employ behavioral and electrophysiological techniques (EEG, ERPs, ECG, EMG, EDA), to get a better understanding of the mind-body connection.
Rachele's previous research explored the psychology of pain, with a focus on how emotions and expectations can modulate people's perception of pain and may alter the outcomes of therapies.
