Empathy and Compassion in Society
Oct 14 to Oct 15, 2016
Empathy and Compassion in Society is a professional conference hosted by the Tenzin Gyatso Institute, an organization dedicated to advancing the vision and principles of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The annual conference draws international thought-leaders in neuroscience and psychology, who present their research insights on developing compassion in the workplace.
Professionals from the fields of business, government, law, education, medicine, healthcare, social services and more gather in Oslo, Norway for the 4th annual conference.
On day 1 of the conference, Center Founder Richard Davidson presents his latest research on our ability to develop healthy habits of mind in "Cultivating Healthy Minds," and later, leads the dialogue session "Can Taming the Mind Actually Make a Difference in Society?"
