Healthy Minds: The Scientific Exploration of Inner Well-Being
Apr 13, 2018 - 7:00PM to 8:30PM
For thousands of years, meditation and other practices that train the mind have been used in the world’s philosophical, spiritual and humanistic traditions to cultivate mental well-being.
In the present day, a remarkable collaboration between some of the world’s leading neuroscientists and advanced meditators is beginning to shed new light on these ancient practices. In this evening dialogue, Cortland Dahl, research scientist at the Center, will explore recent scientific findings that demonstrate how meditation can help us train the mind and rewire the brain to experience mindfulness, compassion and insight.
