Well-Being is a Skill: New York Insight Meditation Center

May 20 to 12:00AM

Center Founder and Director Richard Davidson will present a talk, "Well-Being is a Skill" at an online benefit event for New York Insight Meditation Center. He will discuss scientific evidence that suggests that we can change our brains by transforming our minds and cultivate habits of mind that will improve well-being. The talk will provide an overview of neuroscientifically validated constituents of well-being and will illustrate how each of these is rooted in specific brain circuits that exhibit plasticity and thus can be modified through training.

These practices can be applied in a wide range of contexts and have the potential to positively impact social change.
