Susan Huber

Director of Wellbeing in Higher Education

Susan has been part of the University of Wisconsin–Madison community for over 20 years, driven by a passion for creating transformative experiences for students.

At the Center for Healthy Minds, she oversees The Art and Science of Human Flourishing, a popular semester-long undergraduate course that integrates mindfulness and meditation practices to help students develop their own approach to wellbeing and flourishing. She has also developed related wellbeing programs for students and instructors and collaborates with universities nationally and internationally to share the Center's evidence-based strategies.

Before joining the Center in 2019, Susan worked for UW–Madison's College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, Wisconsin School of Business, and the Wisconsin Alumni Association. In these roles, she developed and managed international academic programs across many disciplines, creating study abroad opportunities in more than 25 countries for undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty.

Susan lives in Madison with her family and enjoys the outdoors, cooking, and practicing and teaching yoga.
