The World We Make: 2020 Celebration

Oct. 1-2, 2020

Overture Center for the Arts Capitol Theater
201 State St. Madison, WI (MAP)

About

The World We Make: 2020 is a gathering of renowned scientists, government and business leaders, educators, spiritual leaders, and members of the media to explore building a new model for flourishing communities and what it takes to get there.

Since the Center opened its doors in 2010, we’ve focused on personal transformation and how we can leverage our brains’ ability to change to improve mental and physical health. In our current political and cultural climate, our task is even greater – to transform societies where everyone can flourish, whether it’s in schools, workplaces, health care, or in communities.

As we reflect on our 10-year Anniversary, we’re humbled by what we don’t know and the work ahead of us. Although we’ve published hundreds of articles in the top scientific journals, spoken and collaborated with major corporations, and led discussions on the global stage, we still have so much to learn and build, and we’re asking you to be a part of it.

Together, we will celebrate 10 years of progress and take a critical look at how our major institutions  – our schools, government, health care – can develop a model society where well-being is a priority.

Stay tuned for further details as the program develops.
