Take Part in the COMPASS Study
Help us explore how human and digital supports can enhance a wellbeing app from home!
About the COMPASS Study:
The COMPASS (COMParing App Support Strategies) Study is a remote research project that investigates how small amounts of human and digital support can improve the Healthy Minds Program (HMP) app. Ultimately, our goal is to learn how these strategies may help reduce symptoms of depression and/or anxiety, and make mental health digital tools more effective and accessible for people everywhere. By participating, you’ll contribute to improving mental health resources for others.
What will happen in this study:
The study lasts for six months and all study activities can be done from home.
Participants will begin by completing an initial survey, followed by a virtual meeting with study staff.
Participants may choose to continue using a wellbeing app for four weeks while answering brief daily check-ins and a separate weekly survey.
During the four-week period, participants may receive email support from our team. Participants may receive supportive text messages related to the wellbeing training as well.
A final survey will be completed six months after initial enrollment.
To be eligible, you must:
Be 18-65 years old
- Have recently downloaded the HMP app, available for free in the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store
Have access to a smartphone and the internet
Be experiencing symptoms of depression and anxiety
Compensation
Participants can receive up to $200 for completing the study.
Note: Multiple research studies are recruiting through the HMP app at the same time. When you begin, you will be automatically redirected to a screening survey for one specific study. Please note that study activities and compensation amounts vary by study.
